| More information: Dr. Rogers is a licensed Clinical Psychologist who has been working in the mental health profession for over 15 years. He provides psychotherapy for individuals struggling with emotional disorders, such as anxiety, depression, and anger, as well as relational difficulties and trauma. He works with adults, adolescents, and couples using psychodynamic and cognitive-behavioral therapy, as well as the principles of supportive therapy and short-term solution focused therapy. He has provided individual psychotherapy in private practice for several years, conducted individual and group therapy in day treatment centers for individuals with severe mental illness (i.e., schizophrenia and bipolar disorders), and worked at two Veterans Affairs Systems, where he gained experience treating trauma, addictions, women's issues, and mood-related difficulties. He also has extensive training in neuropsychological assessment. This includes testing for individuals with psychiatric and neurological disorders, such as dementia, epilepsy, and learning disorders, as well as psychodiagnostic and personality assessment. In addition, Dr. Rogers also serves as a full-time assistant professor of Clinical Psychology at Westmont College in Santa Barbara. He teaches courses in therapy, abnormal psychology, clinical neuropsychology, and personality. At Westmont, he also conducts neuropsychological research examining the cognitive and emotional functioning of older adults. He has published over 20 journal articles in clinical psychology and neuropsychology, regularly presents at the American Psychological Association annual convention, and just recently published a coauthored book entitled, “The Estrogen-Depression Connection: The Hidden Link Between Hormones and Women’s Depression.” |
