Brief Bio
Woodwyn Koons, Psy.D. (she/her) is a licensed clinical psychologist. An experienced psychological/psycho-educational assessor of children and young adults, Dr. Koons also has wide-ranging psychotherapy experience in the areas of depression, anxiety, trauma, ADHD, and personality disorders, employing a relational psychoanalytical approach, and integrating cognitive behavioral and mindfulness interventions when appropriate. She performed her internship with HIV+ people at the non-profit Philadelphia FIGHT in Philadelphia, PA, where she was honored to work with LGBTQIA+ clients and others. She has also worked for University of Pennsylvania’s Counseling and Psychological Services Center with college and graduate students, and on inpatient units with individuals with severe and persistent mental illness.
