Apply for the Psychology Student of Color Equity Award

The Santa Barbara County Psychological Association (SBCPA) is pleased to offer Student Equity Awards in the amount of $1,000 to two doctoral students of color who reside in Santa Barbara County and will be matriculated in a doctoral program in clinical, counseling, or school psychology in the 2023-2024 academic school year. This award represents attempts to widen diversity, equity, and inclusion among the community of psychologists in this area. Toward this effort, the 2023-2024 Student Equity Award extends particular focus to doctoral students who maintain primary cultural identity and ancestry, and or tribal membership, to a known federally recognized or unrecognized California Indigenous tribal nation.

The application deadline is February 2, 2024. The SBCPA DISJ committee anticipates notifying applicants of their decision by March 1st, 2024.
