Brief Bio
I am a licensed clinical psychologist with a private practice in Santa Barbara specializing in the treatment of eating disorders, anxiety disorders, sexual assault/trauma, addictive behaviors, relationship issues, developmental challenges, and child, family, and parenting issues.

My approach to therapy is psychodynamic, with the goal of helping people to know themselves and the issues underlying their present difficulties more deeply, but I draw on techniques from other schools of psychological thought (e.g. cognitive-behavioral) to translate insights into action in order to provide symptom relief and to promote change.

I have a Ph.D. in Counseling, Clinical, & School Psychology from UCSB and postgraduate training in Psychodynamic Psychotherapy. I have an Advanced Certificate in Eating Disorders, Compulsions, and Addictions from the W.A. White Institute. I have been in private practice for over 20 years in NYC , the Berkshires, MA, and Santa Barbara.

I have experience in College Counseling and have provided psychological services to private and public schools working with faculty and students. I serve children, adolescents, adults, families, and parents.

Licensed in CA, MA, NY, VT, ME, IL, VT , DC
