Brief Bio
My name is Becca Sandhu, PsyD, HSP (she/her) and I’m a licensed clinical psychologist. I provide individual therapy services via telehealth to individuals located in throughout California. I work with individuals 18 and older who have experienced a traumatic event, painful life experiences, or just feel stuck to find healing.

I've learned that life can be both messy and beautiful, can lead you to feel both broken and hopeful, can be both gut-wrenching and empowering, sometimes separately, and sometimes all at once. In both my personal and professional relationships, I've also had the opportunity to witness the incredible resiliency that individuals demonstrate despite the painful experiences they've faced, and I've learned first-hand the importance of having support to work to heal from these events. I've learned the power of authentic connection with others and have witnessed emotional pain becoming easier to face when you're not facing it alone.

In my work, I strive to build a genuine relationship that honors the unique and diverse identities of each of my clients and provides a safe space in which they can explore how their past experiences may be impacting their view of themselves, emotional experiences, and current relationships. I take a collaborative approach to treatment that honors clients’ strengths and fosters personal insight and client empowerment.

Therapy is not a one-size-fits-all experience. In order to fit the unique needs of each client, I approach treatment from an integrative and multicultural framework that utilizes various approaches and techniques, including interpersonal theory, eye movement desensitization & reprocessing (EMDR), emotion-focused theory, cognitive-behavioral theory (CBT), self-compassion, mindfulness, and somatic techniques.

I have worked with diverse client populations in a variety of clinical settings, including private practice settings, outpatient mental health centers, and university counseling centers.

Whether you’re struggling with PTSD/trauma-related concerns, depression, anxiety, grief, self-esteem concerns, family-of-origin concerns, a stressful life transition, identity exploration, or are just feeling stuck, we will work together to help you enrich your life and experience growth, healing, and overall well-being.
