Brief Bio
I am a bilingual/bicultural Licensed Clinical Psychologist. I completed Postdoctoral Fellowship at the UC Davis Health Clinical Child Psychology Postdoctoral Fellowship Program in 2022. I completed advanced training at the Sacramento County Child and Adolescent Psychiatric Services (CAPS) Clinic and at the MIND Institute. I completed my doctoral studies at Alliant International University, Los Angeles and my pre-doctoral Internship at Child and Adolescent Behavioral Health in Canton, Ohio. I had a prior career as an educational psychologist working in public schools and the hospital setting which infuses my ability to support families and youth across settings and supporting interdisciplinary collaboration. I have obtained clinical experience supporting resiliency among racial/ethnic/gender and sexual minority youth, as well as, low socio-economic status and incarcerated youth across a variety of interdisciplinary settings including community mental health, public schools, substance abuse facilities and correctional institutions. My research and clinical interests focus on children with developmental disabilities, trauma-informed care for youth, appropriate educational services, and mental health support in families. I am dedicated to improving mental health disparities and outcomes for children with developmental disabilities, culturally and linguistically underserved children and families in community and educational systems, community awareness of mental health issues, and interdisciplinary collaboration. I like to be of assistance to those families that struggle with systems due to language barriers.
