Dr. Rikki Spencer is a clinical psychologist specializing in the treatment of complex, treatment-resistant conditions for adolescents and adults (ages 13-99+). She also works with couples, groups, and provides clinical supervision to mental health professionals. With more than a decade of experience across community clinics, emergency settings, substance use treatment, inpatient care, university counseling, private practice, and forensic environments, she has a proven record of helping clients who have struggled to find relief through conventional methods.
Dr. Spencer’s academic path began with a bachelor’s degree in molecular biology from Princeton University, followed by two years of medical training at UC San Francisco. She shifted her focus to psychology, earning her doctorate in clinical psychology from Rutgers University, where she developed a deep commitment to understanding and addressing severe mental health challenges.
Her practice supports individuals facing a wide range of conditions, including treatment-resistant depression, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, complex trauma, anxiety disorders, substance use, and personality disorders.
