Dr. Lepkowsky's Biography:
Chuck Lepkowskyhas been a full-time private practice psychologist since 1985. He is a former chair of the Department of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital and a past president of the Santa Barbara County Psychological Association. Chuck has served as clinical director and assistant administrative director for nonprofit community counseling agencies, worked full-time for two years in an inpatient psychiatric unit. He is active in advocacy for access to care and for professional psychology as a member of APA, CPA, SBCPA, and the Hawaii Psychological Association. He taught doctoral psychology courses for 14 years, has been on staff at local hospitals for 34 years, publishes in neurological and psychological journals several times a year, has written half a dozen academic book chapters, served as editor for text books on Borderline Personality Disorder and the pharmacology of Paroxetine, and serves on the editorial boards of several neurological journals. His current interests include access to care, geropsychology,collaborative care,neurocognitive disorders,psychopharmacology, Information Technology,and person-centered care.
